Peggy and p.j.'s
Kurt's mom is so supportive...
She has always been there to support the kids' big milestones in their lives.
She lives in Virginia, (so it's a hop, skip, jump, and a little sacrifice...)
*She was in the hospital with me when Candice was born...
*When Caitlyn was born too...
*She flew in to come to Landon's funeral, and stayed with me after that for awhile...
*Candice's baptism...
*When Caitlyn got baptized...
*She came for Spencer's baptism...
*She was here for Lynzie's blessing...
And not to mention all the other times in between she has been here to visit us!
(girls camp, graduation, and even a trip for me to Utah!)
And so at last she is here to watch my last child be baptized and become a member of
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She is here to fulfill a perfect record!
It's fun to have her...
We always do fun things, but one thing I really look forward to doing is;
We buy matching p.j.'s and watch chick flicks!
Thumbs up to you grandma, for being such a good grandma !!!
And so with gratitude I say "Thank-you" for supporting
me, Kurt, and the kids!

Kurt just got back from a business trip from South Dakota...
This was a Pheasant Hunting business trip---
are you kidding, I didn't know there was such a thing !
It was all new to Kurt but he really had fun, he enjoyed the guys he went with and they really spared no expense. They had hunting guides and hunting dogs and ohh the stories Kurt has been telling me...All in all it's just good to have him home, I don't do so good at the single parent thing...but I'm glad he got to go to get out of town and do something different besides sit behind a desk!
New experiences are always fun no matter what experiences they are!

Yesterday I turned on the T.V. (which I rarely do) infact, I always hear my friends talking about there favorite shows and I think to myself....
"SELF".... watch more T.V. so your cool like all your friends,,, I feel so out of the loop sometimes"!!!
Anyway, I turned on the T.V. and lo and behold there was something on there that I never thought I'd see !
A situation about relationships, how a girls' parents could understand there daughters chosen lifestyle a little better BUT it was taken to such an extreme !!! So of course I flipped the channel and then not a few minutes later a comercial came on about a new movie that is just out in theaters.....and boy let me tell you, I'll be taking my family for that one tomorrow night for FHE!!!!!!!!!
Things were bad before but now "they" have taken them to a new level.(whoever "they" are)
Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse......
I am grateful for a church that emphazies the importants of FAMILIES and gives guidance on how to best lead, grow, strenghten and love them !!!
I wasn't going to post a picture...but now I am because I love mine !
and because I am proud of them, it's amazing how tight my kids have to hold onto the 'iron rod' (1 Nephi 8) and the things they see when others let go and are lost in the fog, and when others who don't understand kind-of want to point and laugh......
hmmm didn't I read a story about that one time?
Anyway...here's to good times.

talents..........some people have them.........and some people.....
My talented amazing gifted sister Jenae, is painting this picture of Kurt and I for my birthday.
I am so excited !!!
It's such an honor for me to have and to hang something that my sister did, not to mention that she is really so amazingly talented with such great detail in her work!
I will post a before and after when it's done!
I've seen a picture of it half done and already it took my breath away!
It's funny how you can come from the same mom and dad, live in the same house, eat the same foods, go to the same schools, but one of you can paint and the other........NOTHING!
She was even talented enough to do some work on the
re-dedicated Kirkland Temple!
Thanks Jenae...

10/10/00
That was the date 8 years ago...
When Lynzie Ilene was born!
She was a fun surprise from begining to end...
We were surprised to be pregnant...
When Lynzie Ilene was born!
She was a fun surprise from begining to end...
We were surprised to be pregnant...
We were surprised that she weighed 10 lbs. 8 oz...
We were surprised that she had beautiful red hair...
We were surprised that her cousin Logan was born the same day...
Lynzie still surprises us with her quick wit, her ability to hold her own, her sweet spirit, her love for the gospel, her closeness to the "veil", her ability to find friends and love everyone, her love for animals, and for her ability to still have her parents wrapped around her finger!
Happy Birthday Lynzie Lou...We love You!!!

Landon, photos and fun...
I love what we can do with pictures, just with a click of the mouse...
I just zoomed in on a big picture to make a smaller more intimate one!
~12 years ago we had an old film camera, so you never knew what picture you were really going to get,(who was looking at the camera, who blinked, who sneezed!)
now it is so fun!
I wish we had a digital camera when Landon was born so I could have taken better pictures, he was the cutest little thing ever! I am grateful for the pictures I do have, everything happened so fast, this wasn't even our camera, it was the hospital...we'll save that story for later...
Anyway, life is kind-of fun !!!

President Kimball said...
(I came across this article and absolutely loved it!)
In the New Era, Oct. 1975
President Kimball says to "Write your going and your comings, your deepest thoughts, your achievements, and your failures, your impressions and your testimonies. Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully.
Your are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life....
What could you do better for your children and your children's children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?"
After reading this, it really rang true to me, I have always been a journal keeper, since the 4Th grade.
I love to write and express my thoughts and feelings. It's therapeutic for me.
One thing I have learned is no matter what seems small and insignificant at the moment, when you read back that small insignificant matter is no long insignificant, it becomes a heart touching experience that you have long forgotten, but re-reading it again helps you learn great wisdom from it! That has happened to me many a time! I have had experiences that I thought I would never forget, but after re-reading I have remembered that I forgot!!!
I have keep more than one journal at a time;
*A daily journal.
*A picture journal.
*A once in a while, big moment, what's happening in the world journal.
I've always tried to keep up on the milestones of each of my kids, especially when they were little, so keeping a journal in one way or another has always just been a part of me, it helps me keep centered.
I absolutely love when I can read an ancestors diary, it gives me a sense of closeness to that person and a love because I realize that we both have the same feelings, but mostly it gives me incredible inner strength because of what they have accomplished and overcome and there true love, strength, and determination for the gospel.
I need to use this blog for the opportunity and blessing that it is, and what it could be.
blog ya later or.... journal ya later?

Sisters...
They are the best of friends...
And the worst of enemies.....
I know this too shall pass.....BUT WHEN ?
As a parent, I am so tired of listening to the struggle between the jewelry, shoes, and lately it has been the front seat of the car!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME ?
I know it's a teenage phase thing, but I just can't wait for them to be best of friends, confidants, and realize what they have in each other !
When I remind them that they "choose each other to be sister" they roll their eyes and laugh there heads off and say things under there breath that I am glad I can't hear !
I guess that's what makes the sister bond so strong cuz after you go through the hard stuff you realize how sweet it is.........
maybe.....
one day.......
in a couple of years...............
