some of us made it to early morning church, and some of us didn't,
We did however, eat dinner together and then took a nice family ride up Provo Canyon to Bridal Veils Falls,
we walked and hiked all over,
and Sadie probably had the funnest time, she'd go up trails with Spencer like a mountain goat....
got all wet and was barking at a rock in the river that was half sticking up out of the water, then a wave would come and splash the rock and she's start again, she was pawing at the rock to try to get it to move.... she was determined to help the poor wet rock one way or another!!!!
we made good memories together as a family..... that's what it's all about.
Happy Father's Day to Don Davis,
Happy Father's Day to my dad Lowry.
Happy Father's Day to our dad, Kurt and husband Kurtis!
we had a fun day!

dad's day 2011....
I was honored to be able to spend Father's day 2011 with my dad....
i bought him a beautiful plant for his office and then a homemade card...
(what do you buy a dad who has everything?)
we'll celebrate Kurt's day in a day or two when we get home....
i bought him a cool gift!
(a deep pan for making his favorite sauces, did i ever mention he is a great cook?)
we had a great sunday brunch at my sisters,
thanks Jenae and Tom...

This is what our D@d's D@y 2010 looked like...
(it's so nice to have Candice back in the mug shot with us again....)
The kids love having Kurt as there dad, he's a great one, which I am so grateful for, especially with C and C right now, I try, but.........
it was fun to honor him today!
I am so grateful for my earthly father,
he's such a great man in every way, I admire his unconditional outlook on life, even his name is cool....(Lowry)
Kurt's father pasted away a few years ago, but on days like this, you can't help but reflect on life's lessons that you learned from them...
We're getting ready to hit the road, we're all excited to see all our family and to ride in the big rig, it's going to be quite the adventure...

D@d's D@y...
We did something a little different this year...
I let the kids each pick out a tie for Kurt,
(going tie shopping with 4 kids was an adventure in itself!)
but first they each wrote him a letter,
between the letters and the ties it was fun to watch the kids' personalities shine through for their dear ole' dad!
They went in birth order;
Candice didn't read hers out loud she just wanted dad to read it... sweet!
Caitlyn sang a rap... funny!!!
Spencer didn't want to write a letter, he wanted to just give it from his heart...cute!
and Lynzie, she has such a sweet way with words, she expresses herself so well!
Each letter was so different, it's funny how as parents you can laugh with a tear in your eye at the same time!
After the letters we layed the ties out and Kurt had to guess which child gave him which tie!
and he did it!!!!
he nailed it right on the head.
he really knows his kids, (I wonder if I could have guessed right!)
