a nice day...
It's Official...
Early this morning, we were the first ones there...
she signed on the dotted line...
and smiled her prettiest smile for her first DRIVER'S LICENSE photo!
The sweet family that I have nannied for (for the past two years) had a new baby today,
and a surprise HOORAY,
it's a girl!!!!
a beautiful girl with lots of dark hair!
Hadley and Hunter welcomed Harleigh ...
(I have a hard time keeping my kids names correct....how am I going to do all those "H"!)
Lynzie said "i love this dog so much, no, more than that, i love her more than love, there isn't a word to describe how much i love her, i'll have to make up a new word".....
a few days later she said " mom, i'm sadie-fied"!!!

Our Family Grew By Four Feet...
The kids have wanted a dog for years, really, literally for years now,
but I have always been able to put it off and tell my kids a million reasons why we can't and shouldn't have a dog!
Having a dog/puppy is a huge responsibility and I knew that I would be the alpha and I knew that I would ultimately be taking care of the new little pup, can I tell you I was more nervous about this dog than I was having babies, raising kids seems so much more natural to me, but a puppy......oh my, ... I've never been apposed to having a dog, BUT, I always wanted a good dog, a well behaved dog, not one with personality problems, so I knew that "good" training was the only way to get a "good dog", which would fall on me, so I had to mentally gear up for this, again I didn't put this much mental preparation into having a new baby!
So literally with alot of prayer, (is that weird to pray for a dog?) and alot of studying, we even read books about dogs for FHE, and research, and taking to friend who have well behaved dogs I knew the time was coming, but finding the "right" dog is tricky, we knew we wanted a cockapoo, (a mix of a cocker spaniel and a poodle) because poodles are the smartest dogs, we wanted a smart one, and they don't shed, and they stay small, and they are good family dogs, we wanted a female because males tend to be more territorial and we had to have a red color dog to match Lynzie's red hair,
we love redheads! With all that being said, bringing someone new into your family, you want that new someone to fit in...
I can honestly say, I think our prayers were answered,
I think Sadie fits in well, she is very sweet, it's fun to see all the kids bond with her and love her, even Kurt is a big softy...
there is more to the story of how we got our little Sadie but I'll save that for another time.
Welcome Sadie!
p.s. Don't be scared Catie, you will love her!

We've been missing these two little guys so much lately....That yesterday, we"rented" these two guys for the day....
We sure had alot of fun!
everyone had their own baby to play with,
so no fights over who got to hold a baby!....
Lynzie is an amazing babysitter!
we got our "baby fix" for the day....
but we still want to hang out with the twins really soon!

Catie,
I can only imagine all the fun your having in Utah with
gramz & grampz, couzins, auntz, unclez, & baby Sutton,
AND
I can only guess as to how many times you've almost pee'd your pants from laughter,
but I still miss you the same!

A Fun Family Fourth
(she was suppose to come to Disney with us but stayed to try out for cheerleader,
which was a good thing, cuz she made it! g-o-r-y-l-e-e!)
So, she has a air ticket and needs to use it and she decides to use it here,
we couldn't have been happier, she's a great gal and we love anyone who likes to visit us here in the Lone Star State!
So, she was so excited to wear matching Old Navy shirts, it's a family tradition that everyone use to do in our extended family but we still do it in ours cuz traditions are so fun and hard to break...
we had a fun fourth, going to the Coppell Parade, and then going swimming and then the good ole' American barbecue, which Kurt out did himself yet again!
(whoa baby!)
some of us where adventurous at the pool....
And some of us weren't!
We all started trying to cross the lillypads......
Lynzie and cousin Arik were the only ones to be able to get acrossed
and they made it look so easy!
I got a great little video of Kurt, after a few failed tries, he finally takes a running dive and hydroplanes all the way across the lillie pads!!!
It was awesome but of course my computer won't load it!?!

it's not as easy as it looks...
okay, so I'm just as adventurous as the next girl, right...
it's been hard to sit on the sidelines and watch
(laughing all the while)
while others have fun and look stupid, so I decided to partake, I knew if I held onto the rope that maybe, hopefully, I wouldn't screw up my already screwed up knee, and so with alittle determination and alot of rope burn, yours truly did it!
Oh,
and not to mention this
